After a streak of six winless matches, the albinegros have capitalized on their home support to get back on track. First, by convincingly defeating Almería, considered the most in-form team in the category, and then by overcoming Granada, another rising opponent, with only a four-day gap between matches.
These two consecutive triumphs represent a significant boost for the Castellón team's promotion aspirations, especially at a crucial point in the season where every point holds added value. With eight matchdays remaining in the regular season, the team led by Pablo Hernández remains in the promotion play-off zone and is now just four points away from direct promotion.
Their strength at home has been a decisive factor in this recovery. Castellón has established itself as the fourth-best home team in the category, only behind Éibar, Almería, and Málaga. The latter has the same points as Castellón but with a better goal difference.
The eight consecutive home victories achieved before the defeat against Racing laid a solid foundation, despite a minor setback with the loss to the Cantabrian team and the draw against Cultural Leonesa. Castellón still has four more home matches at SkyFi Castalia before concluding the regular phase, hosting Burgos, Córdoba, Cádiz, and Éibar. Maintaining this home solidity will be crucial to at least reach the promotion play-offs.
