The province of Castellón has inaugurated the new headquarters of the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE), which will begin its teaching activities for security and emergency professionals, ensuring adapted and localized training.

This opening completes the territorial structuring of IVASPE across the three provinces of the Comunitat Valenciana, ensuring that members of police forces, firefighters, civil protection, and emergency services can access courses close to their workplaces. The initiative aims to strengthen preparedness and response capabilities in any risk situation.

"Having this headquarters is a clear demonstration of the great commitment of the Consell and the Diputación to reinforce preparation and response capacity in any risk situation."

David Vicente · Deputy of the Provincial Fire Consortium
The new facility, located next to the Central Services of the Provincial Fire Consortium, begins its activities with a specialized course on the use of Electronic Control Devices (DEC) and Extendable Batons. This course, with 35 places, combines theoretical and practical training over 25 teaching hours and is aimed at members of the Local Police and the National Police Unit assigned to the Comunitat Valenciana.

"It guarantees modern training, close to the reality of Castellón, and updated for the personnel in their daily work."

Juan Carlos Valderrama · Minister of Emergencies and Interior
During 2026, the Castellón headquarters plans twelve additional training actions, nine of which will focus on Public Security and three on Emergencies. This program aims to professionally enhance the skills of personnel in the province, improving their operational capacity and qualifications.
