“"We are investing over 300,000 euros to improve our main meeting point. These works will allow us to transform it into a more welcoming, open, and friendly space for the neighborhood. With a larger pedestrian area and tranquility for families. In fact, the restaurant services provided on terraces will continue as normal after the renovation works."

The Cabanes Town Council has commenced redevelopment works on Els Hostals Square and La Cava street, with an investment exceeding 300,000 euros, to transform the town center into a more open and accessible space for pedestrians.
Els Hostals Square, considered the social and economic heart of Cabanes, is set to undergo a significant transformation. The main objective of this action is to convert it into a larger social forum, with increased pedestrian space and a smoother flow of daily traffic. This square is a key meeting point and cultural center during various events throughout the year.
The total investment for the improvement of the town's central hub amounts to 305,792.93 euros. Of this sum, 111,674.46 euros will be allocated to the reorganization of the road network in Els Hostals Square, creating new accessible spaces for pedestrian use. The remaining 194,118.47 euros will be dedicated to the complete renovation of La Cava street, the main connection route to the CV-146 road towards Ribera de Cabanes.
The works began on Monday, immediately after the conclusion of Cabanes' May festivities in honor of the Mare de Déu del Bon Succés. The execution is expected to take 12 weeks. The aim is to organically and accessibly connect the usual entry and exit traffic of the town, drawing a straight line between Delegat Valera street, Els Hostals Square, and La Cava street.
The renovation of La Cava street, which is connected to Els Hostals Square, will include improvements to the supply networks for homes and the paving of the ground. The first phase of the project will focus on the renovation of the water supply network, at a cost of 60,606.35 euros. Following these works, the paving will be remodeled, and new accessible sidewalks will be created.
