The Sansan Festival in Benicàssim attracted a total of 30,000 people over its two days, boosting the local economy despite the cancellation of the first day due to strong winds.

The town of Benicàssim hosted the Sansan Festival, which managed to gather 30,000 attendees in just two days. This figure is remarkable, as the first day of the event had to be suspended due to adverse weather conditions, specifically intense wind gusts affecting Castellón.
During the remaining days, the public enjoyed 40 performances by renowned artists such as Guitarricadelafuente, Rigoberta, La Casa Azul, La M.O.D.A., and Ultraligera. The festival organization highlighted that, despite the initial setback, the number of participants was proportionally similar to that of the previous year.

"Due to the intense wind storm that hit Castellón on Thursday, we met with the competent municipal civil protection authorities, and after hearing the recommendations of the Security Forces and Firefighters, the decision was made, for the safety of attendees, artists, and collaborating staff, to cancel the first day of the festival."

The influx of visitors had a positive impact on Benicàssim's local economy. According to a statement from the Sansan organization, the municipality, with a population of 20,000 inhabitants, saw the number of people in the area almost triple. Bars, restaurants, and nightclubs in the urban center reported a large turnout, directly transferring part of the expenditure from the venue to the local economy.

"Despite this setback, in proportional terms, we have moved in similar participant figures to last year, something we greatly value. We appreciate the support and flexibility of the artists who, despite their busy schedules, were able to adapt and present their concert during the remaining two days of the festival. We felt the support of everyone, which made it possible for us to have a memorable festival."
