The House of Culture in Almassora has reopened its doors following the completion of comprehensive renovation works. This strategic action has allowed for the modernization of one of the municipality's most emblematic buildings, adapting it to current needs and offering a more complete service to citizens.
The project was funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda, as part of the Program for the Promotion of Public Building Rehabilitation (PIREP), framed within the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (PRTR). The total investment amounted to 2,475,139 euros, demonstrating a commitment to improving public infrastructure.
The intervention has significantly improved the building's accessibility, with the installation of a panoramic elevator, as well as the creation of new multi-purpose rooms that expand the possibilities for using the space. Additionally, a double-height outdoor area has been enabled, reinforcing the open and sustainable character of the building, following energy efficiency criteria.
“"The reopening of the House of Culture represents a very important step for Almassora, as we not only recover an emblematic space, but we transform it into a modern, accessible building prepared for the challenges of the future."
As a notable new feature, the renovated House of Culture incorporates a space dedicated to entrepreneurship. This meeting point is designed for networking, innovation, and business creation, seeking to foster local talent and offer new opportunities for the economic development of the municipality.
“"We wanted to go beyond the cultural sphere, incorporating a space for entrepreneurship and innovation that allows for generating synergies, promoting ideas, and supporting those who want to develop projects in our municipality."
This vibrant space is designed for people, for culture, but also for talent, creativity, and opportunities, consolidating the House of Culture as a central hub for the social and economic life of Almassora.
