The city of Castellón de la Plana concluded its presence at the Escala a Sète event in France with the preparation of a seafood paella for over a thousand diners, capping off a week of tourism and cultural promotion.

The initiative, led by Molimar, allowed the French public to experience the authentic flavors of the Castellón coast, highlighting local products from El Grao and the culinary tradition linked to the sea.

"The seafood paella has been a complete success, both for the large participation and the interest generated among the international public. We managed to have over a thousand people taste a dish so characteristic of us, turning gastronomy into a gateway to discover Castellón."

Arantxa Miralles · Councillor for Tourism of Castellón de la Plana
The Councillor for Tourism, Arantxa Miralles, emphasized the importance of these initiatives in positioning gastronomy as a top-tier tourist attraction. She also noted that these actions strengthen Castellón's international promotion strategy, offering authentic and differentiating experiences where culture, gastronomy, and traditions converge.
Castellón's participation in Escala a Sète, framed within the Mediterranean Way project alongside Sète and La Spezia, included an extensive cultural and heritage program. A tourist information point served as a permanent showcase, and the exhibition of the Gaiata de la Ciutat Infantil 2026, a symbol of the Magdalena festivities, captivated the public, marking the first time this monument traveled outside of Spain.

"One of the great attractions of Castellón's participation these days has been the exhibition of the Gaiata de la Ciutat Infantil 2026, a symbol of the Magdalena festivities, which has captured the public's attention and allowed us to disseminate one of the city's most representative hallmarks, being the first time that the monument representing Castellón's foundational festivities travels outside of Spain."
