Favorable weather conditions and recent improvements to the park's facilities contributed to the success of this gathering, organized by the Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge in collaboration with the Department of Fiestas. The celebration began early in the morning, with the participation of most of the associated 'peñas'.

The Parc de la Séquia Mare, integrated into the urban fabric and easily accessible, provided the ideal setting for this type of event, thanks to its spaciousness and adapted services to accommodate a large number of participants.

Throughout the day, the 'peñistas' shared paellas, cured meats, sweet and savory 'cocas', and all kinds of food in an atmosphere of coexistence and tradition. As a culmination, the organization distributed more than 2,700 'monas' among the attendees.

The 'Día de la Mona' has also served as a prelude to the traditional 'Acampada de les Penyes', which will be held on April 24, 25, and 26, thus consolidating the intense calendar of activities for the festive collective.

Among those present were the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, the councilor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, and several members of the Municipal Corporation. Also attending were regional deputy José Ramón González de Zárate, the queens of the Festes Majors Patronals 2026, Laura Ivars and Carmen Guillem, along with their courts of honor, and the presidents of the Associació de Penyes, Diego Carrasco, and of the Comissió, Ramón Cano.
