Two young individuals from Xaló, Marc Crespo Mestre and David Mestre Moncho, are preparing for a unique solidarity adventure: covering over 2,000 kilometers through the Moroccan desert in a 1994 Seat Marbella, participating in the Panda Raid to bring aid to local communities.

This initiative, combining adventure and social commitment, will carry the name of Xaló to the Merzouga desert. The protagonists of this challenge, Marc Crespo Mestre and David Mestre Moncho, will use a classic vehicle, a 1994 Seat Marbella, which has been donated by a neighbor from Xaló, Domingo Noguera Ferra.
Under the name of Xalonero's Team, the young men are not only looking to complete the race but have also organized a solidarity collection to fill the vehicle before departure. Given the limited space, the collection of light and in perfect condition materials has been prioritized.
Among the most requested items are school supplies such as notebooks, pencils, and pencil cases, as well as sunglasses, light clothing, and toys. Donations can be made until Thursday, April 9, at the offices of Aluminios la Vall de Xaló, during morning hours (8:00 to 13:30) and afternoon hours (15:00 to 18:00).
The project has the support of the Xaló Town Council and various local businesses, including Bodegas Xaló, Prestige Green Care, Ferretería Droguería Santos, and La Bonica Café, among others. Furthermore, the initiative has mobilized the involvement of numerous residents and individuals from the municipality, demonstrating a strong community commitment.
