A vehicle caught fire in the Gran Sol area of Calp, forcing its occupants to quickly abandon it for safety before the flames spread.

A vehicle burned on Saturday in the Gran Sol area of Calp after its occupants detected the smell of gasoline and the presence of smoke inside. According to the Calp Local Police, the people traveling in the car abandoned it immediately as a precaution before the fire started.
Local Police officers quickly responded to the scene, securing the area and regulating traffic to ensure safety throughout the intervention. This action helped keep the surroundings under control while firefighting efforts were underway.
The flames were extinguished by firefighters from the Benissa auxiliary station, who attended to the burning vehicle. Subsequently, the car was towed away by a crane service.
Calp Civil Protection also collaborated in the operation, providing support during the final stages alongside the firefighters. Despite the dramatic nature of the fire, no injuries were reported.
