The measure, active until August 31st, aims to improve healthcare for both residents and visitors in areas with high tourist influx, particularly in municipalities like Gandia and Oliva.
The Ministry of Health has allocated 3.8 million euros to this campaign, a 5.5% increase from last summer. This investment will allow for the redistribution of healthcare professionals to provide more accessible and effective care in coastal towns.
In Grau de Gandia, patients without an assigned doctor or nurse will be directed to the temporary auxiliary clinic Casa del Mar, located at Mediterránea street, 2. This alternative has been established due to the unavailability of the Marcelino Pérez social center, usually provided by the Gandia City Council.
The Casa del Mar clinic will operate Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, until August 31st. It features two medical consultation rooms and one nursing room, and is approximately 300 meters from the Grau de Gandia health center, which operates 24 hours a day.
The Ministry of Health is also working on expanding the Grau Health Center, pending a technical solution from the Gandia City Council.
Beach clinics in Xeraco, Miramar, Daimús, Bellreguard, Piles, Tavernes de la Valldigna, and Oliva will also adjust their summer hours. For care outside these times, patients should go to their designated reference health centers.
