The flame, symbolizing the collective commitment to the language, will travel through the streets of both municipalities, accompanied by an extensive program for all citizens. The main objective of this initiative is to strengthen the social health of the language, promote its daily use, and bring it closer to the entire population, especially the younger generations.
The Correllengua Agermanat is divided into seventeen stages, and the flame will pass through Northern Catalonia, Catalonia, the Valencian Country, the four Balearic Islands, and finally, Alghero. The central element of this walk and bike ride is a torch, designed by sculptor Jaume Falconer, which carries a flame inspired by the Olympic tradition and the Basque Korrika. This symbolic fire started in Prada on April 19 and will conclude its journey on May 5 in Alghero.
