The iconic blue door of the Barraca cove in Xàbia changed its color yesterday to green, as part of a new protest by teachers for better conditions in Valencian public education.

A group of teachers from the assemblies of educators in Marina Alta traveled to this well-known spot in Xàbia early in the morning. With family support and wearing the distinctive green t-shirts from recent protests, which have included a month of indefinite strike currently suspended, they carried out the action.
The action consisted of covering the popular door of the hut with green paper, thus changing its characteristic blue tone. It should be clarified that it was not painted, but rather paper was used to cover it. The protest was immortalized in various images.
The teaching collective accompanied this symbolic demonstration with protest banners, highlighting their demands for the improvement of public education in the Valencian Community.
