Teachers from Marina Alta held an assembly at the Portal de la Marina shopping center in Ondara to raise awareness about their indefinite strike and explain their demands to the public.

On the second day of the indefinite strike, the teaching collective chose this strategic location, visible from roads such as the AP-7 or the N-332, to hold their regional assembly. A "green tide," symbolizing the defense of public education, occupied the outdoor esplanade of the commercial complex, where banners were displayed to inform passersby.

"For teachers, it is fundamental that society understands that what is being demanded during these strike days are not only salary improvements, but also an improvement in Valencian education, urging the regional ministry to reduce classroom ratios and improve educational buildings in the face of climate change."

The assembly also served to evaluate the first day of the strike, which began on Monday and saw over 80% participation from teachers in the region. Furthermore, upcoming protest actions have been coordinated.
Among the planned mobilizations, a regional demonstration will take place on Wednesday in Dénia, starting from Jaume I Square. On Thursday, May 14, at 10:00 AM, there will be a concentration at the Xàbia market, taking advantage of the large public turnout. Finally, on Friday, May 15, a massive demonstration is expected in València to pressure the regional ministry and achieve the demands of the education sector.
The presence of teachers at Portal de la Marina generated attention, with the presence of shopping center management and officers from the National Police and Civil Guard, though no incidents were reported.
