The talk will take place on Saturday, April 18, at 7:00 PM, at the Escola Municipal de Plàstica Experimental A Vives in Gata. Martínez, who holds a PhD in Fine Arts in Cultural Heritage Restoration from the UPV, will share her insights into the current challenges facing the sector.
Since April 2025, Reyes Martínez has presided over Lavac (Association of Contemporary Art Galleries of Valencia, Alicante, and Castellón). Her career includes teaching in the Postgraduate Program in Contemporary Art Market and Management and coordinating relevant projects such as the Rambleta Production Grant.
Her experience as a gallerist began in 2004 in Xàbia, where she combined gallery management with her profession as a cultural heritage restorer. From 2012, with the opening of her gallery's headquarters, Set Espai d'Art, in Valencia, she dedicated herself exclusively to artistic management. Currently, Set Espai d'Art regularly participates in national and international fairs, consolidating a network of collaboration with artists exploring various plastic languages.
Martínez's management is characterized by a business vision that recognizes the challenges of the contemporary art market in Spain. Furthermore, she has participated in meetings and conferences on gallery management, as well as in selection committees for art production grants and competitions. Since 2019, she has coordinated the Rambleta Production and Research Grant and the exhibitions generated from the selected projects.
