The town of Pego experienced a festive day this Sunday marked by devotion to Saint Christopher, band music, and performances by figures from the Valencian music scene.

Events began early with the traditional despertà and the shooting and dragging contest. Later, the Church of the Assumption hosted the mass in honor of the saint, followed by a vehicle parade that ended at Michel Promenade.
The Market Square saw a large turnout to listen to the festive music concert by the Pego Musical Group. During the event, pieces that will be part of the Moors and Christians parades were performed, including Moorish marches such as Salt del Bou.
The festival program does not stop and offers proposals for the coming days. This Monday, Cervantes Promenade will be the stage for the day dedicated to children, with participatory games and a musical show at the sports center. For Tuesday, water activities, a basketball tournament, and a brass quintet performance have been scheduled.
