The Pego i les Valls Tourism Association has decided to extend the visiting hours for its main museums, caves, and tourist points during the weekends of May and June, due to the high influx of visitors recorded between February and April.

This extension will allow for the continuity of the task of rediscovering the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of the area, facilitating access for both residents and visitors. The expansion occurs during a time when outdoor activities and interpretive routes take center stage.
Thanks to a grant from Labora, the association has hired a tourism assistant. This person will be responsible for attending to the public and opening the spaces during fixed hours from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM on the days scheduled in the opening calendar.
Among the tourist resources and heritage sites included in this initiative are the Benialí Rock Art Interpretation Center (in La Vall de Gallinera), the Almàssera dels Moltó de Alpatró (also in La Vall de Gallinera), the Cueva del Canelobre de L'Atzúbia, the Ethnological Museum of La Vall d'Ebo, and the Muntanyeta Verda Information Point, located in the heart of the Marjal de Pego.
The opening schedule for May includes the Almàssera de Alpatró on Friday 1, the Cueva de L'Atzúbia on Sunday 3 and 17, and the Muntanyeta Verda Information Point on Saturdays 9, 16, and 23. The Ebo Museum will open on Sunday 10. For June, the Ebo Museum will open on Saturdays 6 and 14, and Sunday 14. The Benialí Rock Art Interpretation Center will open on Sunday 7, the Almàssera de Alpatró on Saturday 13 (coinciding with the Cherry Festival), and the Cueva de L'Atzúbia on Saturday 20.
This extended schedule connects with prominent activities planned for this spring, such as the interpretive route through the Marjal, focusing on flora, fauna, and birdwatching with guide Joan Sala, which will take place on May 9 at 9:30 AM. Additionally, the opening of the Almàssera de Alpatró on June 13 has been strategically timed to coincide with the celebration of the Cherry Festival.
