The Office for the Attention of Migrant Persons (Pangea) of the Dénia City Council has launched two free basic Spanish courses, aimed at adult foreign residents in the town.

This initiative seeks to facilitate social integration and reduce communication barriers for the non-Spanish-speaking migrant population, as highlighted by the Councilor for Social Welfare, Melani Ivars.
The first course, level A-1, will take place from May 4 to 15 at the Casa de Cultura in Dénia. Classes will be held Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registrations for this level are open from April 14 to 24 and can be made by phone (697390158), by email (psicoeducatdenia@gmail.com), or in person at Calderón street, 1 – mezzanine F, on Wednesdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Places are limited to a maximum of 20 students per course. Participants will receive the necessary educational materials and a certificate of participation upon completion of the training.

"The promotion of learning official languages, in this case Spanish, is a way to foster the social integration of non-Spanish-speaking migrants and helps reduce communication obstacles and bridge distances for a more enriching coexistence and the full development of migrant individuals."
