The municipal plenary session of Ondara will debate this Thursday an exceptional measure that will allow the temporary suspension of acoustic quality objectives during the celebration of the Popular Festivals of El Crist, Mare de Déu de la Soledat, and Sant Jaume 2026. The main objective is to facilitate the normal development of festive events, maintaining their traditional, cultural, and social character, while ensuring citizens' rest.
The suspension of acoustic quality objectives, which will be in effect from June 25 to 28, July 9 to 13, and July 17 to 25, will be limited to specific areas and times coinciding with the planned events. However, it is mandatory for event organizers and responsible parties to implement technical improvements to minimize noise, without exceeding legal limits at any time.
With this initiative, the council seeks a balance between the vitality of the festivals and citizen coexistence. The intention is for Ondara to experience its celebrations with intensity, but without generating unnecessary disturbances, ensuring that the volume reduction does not affect the festive essence of the municipality.
