Residents of Les Rotes, in Dénia, express concern over the lack of railings on a bridge on the Camí Alt de Dénia a Xàbia, which has led to risky situations and inaction in ravine cleaning.

The condition of a bridge located in Les Rotes de Dénia has caused alarm among residents. The railings of this infrastructure, which spans the Santa Llúcia ravine and provides access to Casiopea street, are in poor condition or simply non-existent, due to several accidents.
According to residents' testimonies, the precariousness is not new. One of the railings has been broken for two years, and the other was destroyed by a truck a year ago. This situation has led to incidents, such as a car almost falling into the ravine almost a month ago.
The councilor for Territory assured that the city council is aware of the problem. She indicated that a section of the railing had already been repaired some time ago and that a subsequent accident caused another section to break, so a new repair is being managed.

In addition to the bridge issue, residents also complain that the ravine has not been thoroughly cleaned for almost three years. Although they are aware that the responsibility lies with the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, they ask the council to act to clear the vegetation, as was done in the past. So far, municipal workers have only carried out very partial cleanings of the channel, and the storm drains are clogged.
The councilor for Environment assured that the ravine channel is included in a forest cleaning program that will alleviate the situation in 11.8 hectares of Dénia. Interventions will be carried out in the channels and margins of Malonda, Emboixar, Santa Llúcia, Pedrera, Santa Paula, and Alter, removing invasive vegetation, collecting waste, and selectively clearing.
