The Mitjafava Fest 2026 in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell will host a free 'showcooking' on Friday, April 17, where renowned chefs Maria Albero and Carlos G. Moreno will transform the poblera fava bean into innovative dishes.

The event, starting at 8:00 PM in the Avenida de València parking lot, will have free admission. Following the culinary demonstration, a complimentary wine of honor and tasting of the chefs' signature tapas will be offered to all attendees.
Maria Albero, known as @saboreanda, will present her 'Interpretation of Mona Day', a brioche toast with cream cheese, fava bean salad, and caramelized sobrasada. Meanwhile, Carlos G. Moreno, from Dexcaro, will cook poblera fava beans on a scallop tartare in its shell and a yellow aji gazpacho with chlorophyll oils.
The event will be hosted by publicist and communicator Elena Vidal, a reference in promoting plans and gastronomy in the province of Alicante through her Instagram profile @alicantestreetstyle. The wine of honor will be enlivened by the music of saxophonist Alfredo Ripoll.
