“"We believe that this project, the magazine, is important because we give importance to the figure of women and give them a voice, making their work visible in Pego society. Fortunately, in Pego we have many leading women and choosing only a few for each edition is certainly a complicated task because we want to make them all known, which is why we hope this project will continue over time."

The third edition of 'Les Sorts Púrpures' magazine, a project by the Pego Town Council to highlight the role of women in the municipality, will be presented on April 25 at the Carmen Alemany Bay Municipal Library.
This new edition of the magazine, created in 2024, is divided into five sections. It includes a section on the winners of the Premi Jo Dona, another dedicated to sports, a section on businesses and professions featuring women from the municipality, a health and wellness space with Pego professionals, and a final part that addresses the involvement of women in local festivities.
The presentation event will take place at 12:30 PM and will include a round table discussion. Some of the protagonists from the section dedicated to women's involvement in Pego's festivities will participate, offering an opportunity to delve deeper into their role.
The Councillor for Equality, Paula Orihuel, has highlighted the importance of this initiative in recognizing and making visible the contribution of women in the community of Pego, emphasizing the wealth of female role models in the locality.
