A forest fire declared this Tuesday in the Pinos area of Benissa, a zone of great ecological value, has required the mobilization of a significant emergency response due to access difficulties.

A forest fire declared this Tuesday in the Pinos area of Benissa, of great ecological value, has required the mobilization of a significant emergency response due to the difficulty of terrestrial access to the affected area, according to the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Alicante.
The fire alert was received at 15:38 hours, and the intervention remains active. The complexity of the terrain necessitated the deployment of aerial resources to support firefighting efforts. High temperatures are hindering these operations.
Four fire brigades from the Benissa and Benidorm stations, along with two forest firefighter units (UBF), are participating in the operation. No injuries have been reported so far.
Emergency personnel are working to control and stabilize the fire in a difficult-to-access forest area, while extinction and surveillance efforts continue to prevent the spread of the flames.
According to the Consortium's report shortly before six o'clock, the fire's evolution was favorable at that moment, and all resources and crews remained deployed.
