The Circuit a Peu arrives in El Verger this Sunday, April 19, with its seventh scoring event, the XVIII Volta a Peu El Verger, noted for being the flattest and fastest on the regional calendar.

The El Verger Town Council and its sports department, along with the Club Sense Pressa El Verger, are organizing this sporting event. Runners will enjoy a 9,800-meter course that will run through the urban center and the municipal area, along the foothills of Segària. This race is an ideal opportunity to achieve personal bests thanks to its flat terrain.
The route is divided into two laps: a first urban lap of 3,400 meters, passing through the town's streets, and a second, longer lap of approximately 6,400 meters, through the municipal area. The course includes Camí de Pego, Camí Cremaella, and Camí del Cementeri, before returning to the urban center. The finish line and start will be located on Cervantes Street, where the main race will begin at 9:30 AM.
From 11:30 AM, it will be the turn of the children's races, starting with the 'barrufets' and pre-benjamin categories (outside the Circuit). Afterwards, the scoring categories, from benjamins to juveniles, will add color to the streets of El Verger.
The organization will provide athletes with a wardrobe and bicycle service located a few meters from the finish line. Additionally, there will be shower facilities at the “Paula Tomàs” Football Field, situated 700 meters from the start and finish.
In the previous edition, Joel Camarena Grau (Vicky Foods Athletics) was the overall winner of the main race with a time of 32:37, while María Isabel Ferrer (Llebeig Xàbia) was the first woman to cross the finish line with a time of 40:38. Registrations close at noon this Friday, April 17, and can be made through the website www.somesport.com.
