The consultation, promoted by various union organizations, has made clear the majority rejection of the regional Administration's proposal. According to the data, only 6% of those consulted accept the agreement, while 60% are in favor of continuing the indefinite strike. The main demands that the group wants to keep on the table include the improvement of ratios, staffing, and salary remuneration.
The meeting held this Wednesday between the Ministry and the unions was brief, lasting barely fifteen minutes. Faced with the union representatives' refusal to call off the strike, the Ministry's team ended the negotiation, although they announced a new period for reflection.
Locally, the mobilization has been very active. Various teaching assemblies, such as the one at the IES Historiador Chabàs in Dénia, have voted unanimously against the proposed agreement. Teachers criticize that the Generalitat has only accepted a small part of their demands, leaving out fundamental issues such as salary updates linked to the CPI or specific deadlines for improving educational infrastructure.
The unions have urged the Ministry to reopen negotiations to address the pending demands. Meanwhile, the protest continues in the streets, with union representatives and teachers gathered, waiting for new developments from the Administration.
