Dénia's Local Police launched its special beach and maritime surveillance service today, July 1st. The aim is to enhance the safety of residents and visitors during the peak season, protect the natural environment, and ensure compliance with regulations throughout the season.
The operation includes land patrols, an all-terrain vehicle, and quads for surveillance and rapid intervention on the beaches. Maritime surveillance is also conducted with a police boat for monitoring the bathing area, marine reserve, and coastal safety.
Starting today, the beach surveillance and lifeguard team is reinforced with an additional 64 lifeguards. The service hours will be from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM, until August 31st.
Furthermore, the second Biblioplaya (beach library) has opened at Les Albaranes. Four new beach bars, the water park, and the skate service at Punta del Raset are also now operational.
Cleaning machinery will begin operations at Els Molins, an area that could not be accessed until today due to its protected natural beach status.
