The project, managed by the Local Police, seeks to strengthen public safety and improve traffic management in the municipality, including the areas of la Xara and Jesús Pobre. According to security officials, this system will allow for a faster response to any emergency.
The cameras incorporate artificial intelligence and are divided into three types: high-resolution surveillance devices, 180-degree panoramic cameras, and license plate readers. The latter will be located at the main entrances to the city and at strategic points such as les Marines, les Rotes, and Montgó.
“"It will mark a before and after in the management of the municipality's security."
The police force has already used the captured images to clarify three recent traffic accidents. Data processing complies with current regulations, with an internal protocol that limits access to the recordings, which will be stored for a period of 30 days.
