This new project, announced to coincide with Book Day, aims to boost the dissemination of a growing genre among readers and to give visibility to Valencian thriller works and authors. The cycle is the result of collaboration with the Acció Cultural del País Valencià city council and the CAPPEV Marina Alta-Escola Valenciana.
The program will kick off on Sunday, May 10, with the screening of the film El cebo at the Cine-club Pessic, followed by a discussion with journalist and writer Josep Vicent Miralles. The activity will take place at 7 PM in the Social Center auditorium.
The next event will be on May 15, at 7:30 PM at the Library, featuring the presentation of El principio de incertidumbre by author Sònia Guillén. This frenetic thriller combines murders with quantum physics. The presentation will be led by Valencian journalist Amàlia Garrigós and will include musical accompaniment by saxophonist Alfredo Ripoll.
Finally, on May 27, also at 7:30 PM at the Library, La mirada del impostor by Silvestre Vilaplana will be presented. Writer and journalist Xavier Aliaga will lead the presentation, which will also feature music by Ripoll. Vilaplana's work tells the story of a writer in a creative crisis who revisits his past after an unexpected message.
