The Volta a Peu 2026, organized by the Dénia Corre club in collaboration with the City Council's Sports Department, promises a vibrant sporting day. The event reintroduces the route from the 2024 edition, offering a 10-kilometer course that is largely flat, ideal for participants aiming to improve their personal bests.
The start and finish lines of the race will be located on the central Marqués de Campo street. Athletes will have the opportunity to run through emblematic city landmarks, including the Paseo del Saladar, the Castle Wall, and the picturesque maritime facade, providing an attractive backdrop during the competition.
The day will commence at 4:00 PM with races dedicated to children's categories, while the adult race will start at 6:30 PM. For the convenience of participants, the organization has arranged shower facilities at Colegio Hermanos Maristas and a cloakroom service in Sant Antoni square.
This edition's poster was designed by Vaani Singh, a student who won a drawing contest involving CEIP Llebeig and CEIP Cervantes schools. The previous edition's winners, César López (with a time of 31:34) and Mª Isabel Ferrer (with 35:27), will be the benchmarks to beat in this competition.
Race bibs can be collected in advance on Friday from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the MOLL MOTOR OMODA | JAECOO facilities (carrer d’Ondara), and on Saturday from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at ALE-HOP DÉNIA (calle Marqués de Campo, 42). Registrations remain open on the website www.somesport.com until noon this Friday.
