The Dénia Plenary has approved the fares for the new urban bus service, set to launch next June, with significant discounts for various groups.

The fares, based on those set by the Generalitat, will include discounts for groups such as large and single-parent families, seniors over 65, and minors under 18. The approval received favorable votes from the governing team (PSPV-Compromís) and Gent de Dénia, while the PP and Vox abstained.
The standard single ticket will cost 1.65 euros, but will be substantially lower for discounted groups and those using available passes. Options include a Bono 10 for 10 euros, a monthly pass (40 trips) for 35 euros, and special passes for seniors over 65 and minors under 18, both priced at 8.50 euros.

"With the introduced discounts, we are increasing the penetration of the bus service, estimating that we will reach 80% of the population."

From the opposition, Gent de Dénia expressed a vote of confidence in the service's launch, hoping it will be effective and meet citizens' needs. Meanwhile, Vox abstained, arguing that the service should be free for residents of Dénia and for large families.
The city council has announced that bus trials will soon take place, with vehicles beginning to circulate in a testing phase before the service officially starts in June, just before the peak summer season. The 187 new bus stops have already been painted on the town's roadways.
