The Dénia City Council has started today the commemoration events for the International Day against LGTBIphobia with the installation of a banner and the launch of an awareness campaign.

On the occasion of the May 17th date, the Department of Equality and Diversity has presented the initiative titled Diversity breaks barriers. This action, which features a graphic image designed for the occasion, seeks to combat the prejudices and discrimination that the LGTBIQ+ community still suffers in today's society.
The head of the department pointed out that the main objective is to denounce the obstacles and barriers that hinder coexistence. The campaign aims to be a message of support for all those who feel alone in the face of hate, reminding them that they are part of a collective network of resilience.

"We denounce the barriers, obstacles and discrimination that the collective faces."
