Founded in 2001 by Vicente Grimalt, ALE-HOP has evolved from a family project into one of Spain's most recognizable retail brands. The company, family-owned and self-financed, has surpassed 350 stores and has a presence in Spain, Portugal, Italy, and Croatia.
Its business model is based on proprietary design, innovation, and a surprise-oriented shopping experience, elements that have contributed to its sustained growth. The iconic cow at the entrance of each establishment, introduced by Grimalt himself, has become a distinctive symbol reinforcing the brand's optimistic and approachable character.
Currently, ALE-HOP employs over 2,300 people, known as “HOPers,” a term that also includes its loyal customer community. The professionalization of processes, adaptability, and consistency across all markets have been key to overcoming challenges and maintaining its identity.
According to the consolidated accounts for 2024, the company reported a turnover of 254 million euros, with a net profit of 51 million. Furthermore, it made a tax contribution of 67.5 million euros and an investment of 18 million, demonstrating responsible growth and a continuous commitment to proprietary design as a strategic pillar.
