El Poble Nou de Benitatxell has published a special book to commemorate ten years of the children's and youth literary competition 'La Mascota Contacontes', an initiative that fosters creativity among local students.

Coinciding with the celebration of Book Day, the CEIP Santa Maria Magdalena hosted today the awards ceremony for the tenth edition of the competition. This edition is particularly significant for the municipality, as the contest marks a decade of promoting literary creation and imagination among local students.
The event was presided over by the Councillor for Culture, Jorge Pascual, and the municipal librarian, Lola Bolufer. This year's winners were led by Adrián Aranda Roda with the first prize for La caixa màgica de Terry i Pau. The second prize went to Leire Ferràndiz Ferrer for Uns peluixos màgics, while Serena Melody Accorsi received the third award for her story Lola salva la biblioteca.
To commemorate this tenth anniversary, the City Council has published a very special commemorative book. This volume collects all the stories submitted in the current edition and includes a historical overview with the winning stories from the youth category over the last ten years. During the ceremony, all participants received a copy, and two volumes were donated to the school library.

"Reaching this tenth edition demonstrates that our municipality has incredible young talent. The publication of this book allows us to bear witness to a decade of creativity in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell and to give prominence to future local writers."

Jorge Pascual · Councillor for Culture
