The exhibition, which opened last Friday, April 24, presents a variety of artistic disciplines including drawing, installation, muralism, and sculpture. Despite their stylistic differences, the works engage in dialogue, creating a cohesive experience rich in expressive power and nuance.
Among the participating artists is Toni Ortolà, a self-taught artist from the region who exhibits drawings created with the “raya a raya” technique, using a BIC pen and, in some cases, wax, watercolor, or pastel. His pieces range from everyday scenes to critical reflections on social issues.
For her part, Tardor presents two new murals, one on a wall and another on canvas, in addition to a piece already integrated into the room on a mirror and wall. Her creations are notable for their symbolism and hidden messages that invite deeper reflection, with a use of color that transports the viewer to a more intimate plane.
Artist Jorge S. Jorge, with a background in Fine Arts and a master's degree in artistic production, offers a large-scale intervention that explores the unconscious through automatism and automatic writing. His work merges contemporary concrete poetry and oral poetry, expanding text into the visual and performative realms through fragmentation and distortion.
Finally, Laura Gabari Pérez, a Fine Arts graduate with a master's in Interior Design, closes the exhibition with an immersive installation. This more intimate proposal invites slow contemplation, where visitors progressively discover the work and feel part of it.
The exhibition also includes a collaborative piece created by the four artists, where they merge their styles and techniques on a single wall in the gallery, establishing a dialogue among themselves and with the public. The exhibition will be open until May 30, Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 1 PM and 4 PM to 9 PM, and Saturdays from 10 AM to 1 PM.
“"From the Youth Department, we continue to commit to giving visibility to young talent and creating spaces where contemporary art plays a leading role. This exhibition is an opportunity to enjoy a diverse proposal that combines different disciplines and languages."
During the exhibition period, meetings and open activities with the artists, related to their artistic techniques, have been scheduled.
