A group of young people has sparked controversy in Xàtiva after recording themselves crossing high metal beams at the Plaza Mayor shopping center, a video that quickly went viral on Instagram.

The trend of sharing risky situations on social media continues to be a growing concern. Recently, a similar incident took place in Xàtiva, where several youths decided to record themselves performing a dangerous 'feat' in an open area of the Plaza Mayor shopping center.
The video, which circulated on Instagram, shows one of the youths traversing a metal beam located at a considerable height in the uncovered section of the complex. While a friend recorded him, he was encouraged with phrases like 'no hay huevos' (no guts), and his friends chanted 'la manta al coll, el cabasset'. The protagonist not only crossed the beam from one end to the other but even paused in the middle of the structure.

Although the young man appeared to emerge unharmed from his 'adventure', a simple misstep or a gust of wind could have had fatal consequences. The Plaza Mayor shopping center, located on the outskirts of Xàtiva, has surveillance cameras in some of its areas, but it has not been confirmed whether this specific action was recorded.
This incident adds to other viral trends that have generated debate, such as the recent video of a woman running along Metrovalencia tram tracks trying to retrieve her mobile phone, which had become stuck to the front of the convoy. Such behaviors, driven by the pursuit of social media visibility, highlight the risks associated with digital recklessness.
