The Civil Guard has arrested two men in Xàtiva as alleged perpetrators of attempted homicide, illegal possession of weapons, threats, document forgery, and damages, following a shooting at a property in El Real de Gandia in July 2025.

The investigation, initiated on July 9, 2025, focused on an incident where the perpetrators fired five shots at the facade of a property in El Real de Gandia, with bullets entering the interior.
After months of police and judicial efforts, including surveillance operations to evade detection, the alleged perpetrators were identified. On April 30, 2026, two simultaneous raids were conducted in Xàtiva, resulting in the seizure of mobile devices and SIM cards used with false identities, along with relevant documentation.
Consequently, two Spanish nationals, aged 37 and 53, were arrested as alleged accomplices in the crimes of attempted homicide, illegal possession of weapons, threats with a firearm, document forgery, and damages.
The investigation was carried out by agents from the Judicial Police Team of Gandia, with support from other units and the Cynological Service. The proceedings have been handed over to the Civil and Instruction Section of Court Number 3 in Gandia.
