The annual event, now in its thirteenth edition, brings together thirteen wineries from the area, known as the Valencian Tuscany, an inland region with a rich winemaking tradition that has established itself as a tourist and gastronomic attraction.
Participating wineries use this fair to introduce wine culture to new audiences, especially younger generations, who show growing interest in proximity wines and locally-sourced products.
However, wine is not the sole focus. Valencian gastronomy plays a significant role, featuring cured meats, sweets, and traditional dishes prepared by local butchers and bakeries. Visitors can sample artisanal products and recipes from Valencian popular cuisine, supporting local consumption and valuing neighborhood businesses.
Buying what is ours
Many attendees emphasize the importance of "buying what is ours" to sustain the production network of the inland regions. The Terres dels Alforins Wine Fair has become a key event for promoting the area's wine potential and establishing local produce as a symbol of cultural identity, showcasing not only Valencian wines but also the region's landscape, gastronomy, and traditions.
