The prestigious Xàtiva Castle Nights Festival kicks off this Saturday, July 4th, at 11:00 PM, with a confirmed success in attendance: all tickets for this year's edition have been completely sold out. The organization anticipates a full house for the inauguration.
The artist tasked with opening the festival is Carlos Núñez, internationally recognized as one of the world's best bagpipers and a key figure in Celtic music. The Galician artist will present a show that fuses traditional melodies with his characteristic energetic and innovative live performance, all set against the monumental backdrop of Xàtiva Castle.
For those wishing to fully experience the event, the monumental area will open its doors before the concert begins. At 8:00 PM, the picnic area in the castle's parade ground will open, equipped with tables and chairs for dining outdoors, and the Castle's restaurant will also be operational (reservations required). At 10:00 PM, the seating area will open for staggered public access.
As is customary for heritage protection, access to the Castle by private vehicle is prohibited. A free shuttle bus service will be provided. Buses will depart continuously from Plaça de l’Espanyoleto between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM for the outward journey. The return service will begin after the concert ends and will run until approximately 2:30 AM. Attendees can park their cars at the free parking lot of the city's Centre d’Especialitats. Individuals with reduced mobility requiring coordinated access should contact the festival organization in advance.
With this idyllic start and massive public support, the Castle Nights Festival reaffirms its position as one of the most emblematic, exclusive, and attractive cultural events of the Valencian summer, where historical heritage and the best music go hand in hand.
