The Provincial Fire Consortium, under the Diputación de València, will begin the comprehensive renovation of the Torrent Fire Station in May, with an investment exceeding two million euros and an execution period of 16 months.

This action represents a complete transformation for facilities that have been in use for nearly three decades. The main objective is to adapt them to current operational needs and significantly improve staff conditions.

"This intervention is strategic within the process of modernizing key service infrastructures."

Avelino Mascarell · President of the Consortium and Deputy for Environment
The renovation will include a thorough reorganization of the interior spaces. The ground floor will house essential areas such as the control room, gym, kitchen, dining room, offices, changing rooms, laundry, and storage areas, in addition to specific spaces for intervention and equipment. On the upper floor, rooms for staff rest and meeting rooms will be created.
Beyond the main building, the project includes significant improvements to the hangar, with the renovation of the carpentry, reinforcement of the structure, and replacement of the roof. Improvements will also be implemented in the rainwater collection system, replacement of exterior carpentry, construction of a canopy for parking, and the creation of a new water tank for fire hydrants.

"Improving working and resting conditions is fundamental to ensuring an effective service, especially in a station with a high operational load like Torrent."

Avelino Mascarell · President of the Consortium and Deputy for Environment
This plan addresses needs identified in recent years, particularly in infrastructure, vehicle fleet renewal, and operational equipment improvement. According to Mascarell, this is the largest investment by the Consortium in the last two decades, with planned actions in strategic facilities and the incorporation of new advanced technical means.
