This new facility, spanning nearly 3,000 square meters, is part of a connected structure with technical centers in Madrid and laboratories in Hamburg, facilitating the coordination of development, testing, and manufacturing. The plant is expected to reach full operational capacity by 2027, setting the pace for growth in a market where charging infrastructure is crucial.
The choice of Silla is due to strategic factors such as the growing importance of renewable energies in the Spanish electrical system, Valencia's logistical position with its port and transport network, and the region's consolidated industrial base with skilled professionals in automotive and energy. These elements optimize the supply chain and reduce delivery times.
The plant will initially focus on two fast-charging solutions: the GridLink system, designed for locations with electrical grid limitations thanks to its integrated 215 kWh battery (expandable to 430 kWh), and the C7, intended for environments with high charging demand, capable of delivering up to 400 kW and serving two vehicles simultaneously.
Since its founding in 2015, XCharge has evolved from a technology start-up into an international network with over 9,000 chargers installed globally and more than 800 in Spain, reflecting the national market's importance in its expansion strategy.
