The Digital Center of the United Nations Secretariat in Quart de Poblet establishes the Valencian Community as a key strategic point for technology applied to global security and cybersecurity.
The presence of this center at the UN Support Base in Quart de Poblet consolidates the region as one of the most important enclaves in the development of strategic capabilities in technology and cybersecurity for international organizations.
“
"The consolidated presence of the United Nations technological ecosystem in our territory and the sustained development of strategic capabilities make Valencia a benchmark in technology applied to security."
The new center represents a strategic step for both the United Nations and the Valencian Community, stemming from a trajectory of institutional cooperation, trust, and innovation that began in 2011. The choice of the Quart de Poblet base is a recognition of the region's capacity to assume this responsibility, thanks to its talent, connectivity, robust infrastructure, and international vocation.
This center is the first node of a future global network of strategic digital centers for the United Nations. Its infrastructure will allow for strengthening global operations, improving cybersecurity, integrating advanced technologies, and supporting the digital transformation of an essential institution for international governance.
“
"Digital transformation is no longer a complementary option for large international institutions, but an essential condition for their operation, for their coordination capacity and, ultimately, for the fulfillment of their mission."
The facility will bring together technological teams, infrastructure, and expertise to offer modern digital services to the entire UN Secretariat, from peacekeeping missions to regional commissions and field offices in various parts of the world. Its functions will include critical digital service management, global database connectivity, ICT security monitoring, incident protection and response, and the development of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity environments.
