The project, which will begin on May 23rd in Paiporta, will run until the end of June. This proposal stems from the collaboration between Casa València Barcelona and the Fundación Horta Sud, with the support of the Barcelona City Council, to highlight the cooperation network that cultural associations represent.
The cycle's format stands out for its collaborative nature. Each entity will act as a host in its locality, but all will participate in the four scheduled meetings: Paiporta (May 23rd), Massanassa (May 31st), Alaquàs (June 6th), and Catarroja (June 24th).
The initiative highlights the network of cooperation and mutual support that associationism in general, and cultural associationism in particular, represents.
The groups that are part of this network are the Grup de Danses L’Espolí from Paiporta, the La Cantarella rondalla from Massanassa, the La Torrentina muixeranga from Alaquàs, and the A Quatre Quaranta dolçaina and percussion school from Catarroja.
With this action, Ritmes Arrels aims to reinforce popular culture as an element of collective care and social cohesion, consolidating the role of associations as a driver of identity and participation throughout the l'Horta Sud region.
