The novel, set in the year 1137 of the Age of Light, focuses on the convocation of the Great Lustral Assembly in Caranthium. The assassination of Queen Cyrika looms as an imminent threat of war among the four kingdoms.
The narrative follows two parallel paths: that of Daeyon Wint, son of the feared Blue Fury, compelled to attend court to rise to power; and that of Derys de Zioner, who survives in the Lands of the Captives, a territory marked by slavery and darkness. Both stories explore ambition, survival, and the yearning for freedom.
With influences from G. R. R. Martin and Brandon Sanderson, 'Luceros de ira y odio' is the result of five years of work. The author, David Caracena Beviá, born in Alicante in 2002, developed his narrative technique over five years, starting in 2019, at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, where he graduated in Journalism.
