The Quart de Poblet City Council, through the Education Area, has launched EDUCAQUART, the first Education Exhibition, offering a comprehensive program of activities from April 15 to May 15 to support and guide the educational community.

The program kicked off with an informative talk on the admission process for the 2026-2027 academic year, aimed at families facing new school enrollments. Following this initial event, EDUCAQUART unfolds a diverse agenda combining workshops, cultural activities, and academic guidance proposals.
Among the planned activities, highlights include the early childhood workshop Créixer feliços (Growing Up Happy), which will take place in several sessions at the Casa de Cultura; the Orientation Fair aimed at students from the municipality's high schools; and the conference Infancia y pantallas, una combinación de riesgo (Childhood and Screens, a Risky Combination), delivered by pediatrician Carlos González.
One of the main focuses of this first edition is the recognition of the educational community's role. In this regard, EDUCAQUART will host the recognition event for teaching careers, to be held on May 6, as well as the traditional Gala of awards for educational achievement for the 2024-2025 academic year, scheduled for May 13. Both events highlight the dedication, effort, and excellence of teachers and students in the municipality.
On April 23 and 24, the Mostra al carrer (Street Exhibition) will transform the area around the Enric Valor Municipal Library into a showcase of the educational work carried out in Quart de Poblet. The municipality's educational centers, along with AFAS and AMPAS (parent associations), will display their projects in various booths, bringing their activities and educational offerings closer to the public.
Additionally, the space will feature a central tent where a specific program will unfold, including performances by students from educational centers, book signings, academic orientation talks, and concerts, such as one by the Mestre Molins Conservatory. All of this creates a dynamic and participatory environment that allows for a closer look at the work done in the centers and facilitates decision-making in the educational field.
The proper use of screens and social media is one of the core themes of the first Education Exhibition. The Quart de Poblet City Council continues to advance in the development of PASOTIQ, a municipal Social Pact for the Good Use of Screens, which aims to generate concrete proposals that facilitate a positive and healthy relationship between citizens and these devices.
The process is led by the Education Area with the support of the Community Prevention Unit for Addictive Behaviors (UPCCA), and arises from a specific demand from the municipality's AMPA and AFA, as well as the impulse of a driving group born within the framework of the Family School. In this way, the Social Pact responds to a shared concern and a need detected by the educational community itself.
