The Paiporta City Council and the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya have formalized a collaboration agreement to promote cultural accessibility and support the reconstruction of the Municipal Auditorium, affected by the DANA.

This alliance, signed in the Plenary Hall of the Paiporta City Council, primarily aims to promote cultural activities in the field of performing arts and the Catalan language. Furthermore, it includes the exchange of knowledge and technical advice for the rehabilitation of the Municipal Auditorium, which suffered significant damage due to the DANA.
Key figures such as the Mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Ciscar; the Minister of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Sònia Hernández; and the President of the Board of Directors of the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Joan Francesc Marco, participated in the signing ceremony. Also present were the artistic director of the TNC, Carme Portaceli; the Councillor for Culture of Paiporta, Esther Torrijos; and the Deputy Mayor, Marian Val, along with other members of the municipal government.

"This agreement symbolizes the importance of cooperation and territorial dialogue, especially when sharing a common cultural and linguistic base."

Additionally, collaboration in the 'Read the Theater' program, linked to library reading clubs, will be explored.

"Revitalizing culture is key to regaining meeting spaces, reconstructing the collective narrative, and strengthening the sense of belonging."

Following the signing, the authorities visited the rehabilitation works currently underway at both the 'María Moliner Ruiz' Public Library and the Municipal Auditorium, underscoring the commitment to the recovery and promotion of culture in the municipality.
