This cultural event, one of the most established in the field of street performing arts in the Valencian Community, will offer an open and free program for all audiences. For ten days, MAC will fill parks, squares, and avenues with nearly twenty proposals of theater, contemporary circus, music, humor, dance, and itinerant shows.
“"The main objective of MAC continues to be to bring performing arts to all audiences, especially those who do not usually consume culture regularly."
The festival will kick off strongly on the first weekend with proposals of great visual and artistic impact. The company Cia. Maria Andrés will inaugurate the festival with the show Au!. Les nòmades, by Actua Produccions, and Rumbo Latòti, by Nostraxladamus, featuring aerial acrobatics and contemporary circus, will also be part of the initial program. La Nördika will present Cándido, a contemporary circus show that blends visual poetry, humor, and acrobatic techniques.
The second weekend will also be packed with proposals for all tastes and ages, including Qué raro… ¿verdad?, by Los Infoncundibles, combining circus and humor, and Mi gran caracol, an itinerant giant puppet show by Ángeles de Trapo. Other companies such as La Troupe Malabó with Eirenê and Eunoia Kolektiva with Tenet, will present new contemporary circus creations. Humor will be provided by Asaco Producciones with Very big pulga and by Cia. La Tal with The incredible box.
One of the main attractions will be Possê, by Sound de Secà, an itinerant percussion in motion proposal. The festival will conclude with Quimera, by La Fam. MAC maintains its commitment to children and family audiences, with participatory workshops on Saturday mornings, such as the circus crafts workshop ¡Pasen y vean! Fábrica de artistas and a juggling workshop by Moi Jordana Cia. De Circ.
Music will also play a prominent role with a concert by the Valencian punk-pop group Lisasinson in La Canaleta Park, where they will present their new work, Desde cuándo todo. With twelve editions, MAC has consolidated itself as one of the major spring cultural events in the Valencian Community, reclaiming public space as a meeting point for citizens and a stage for contemporary artistic creation.
