The project involves transforming a building that had been disused for years into a modern, accessible facility adapted to the current needs of young people. The future space will offer a multipurpose environment for training, leisure, participation, and the development of youth activities.
The works include a complete reorganization of the interior spaces to house multipurpose rooms for workshops, courses, and cultural activities. The inner courtyard will also be recovered as an outdoor area for socializing and programming activities.
The intervention will also improve the building's integration with its urban surroundings through a new configuration of access points and a more open, brighter facade, fostering connection with the new Vicente Barberà square.
This project responds to the needs identified in the Municipal Youth Plan, approved in 2022, which highlighted the demand for specific youth spaces in the urban center of Manises. The new facility will provide a meeting point where young people can socialize, develop their own initiatives, receive advice, and access various municipal services.
The commencement of the works coincides with the final phase of the reurbanization of the Vicente Barberà square, contributing to the creation of a renewed, accessible environment designed for citizen coexistence.
