The Civil Guard has arrested two men in Benetússer following a drug transaction, in which 8 kilograms of cocaine and 87,150 euros in cash were seized.

The operation took place after agents became aware of possible illicit drug trafficking activity by a local resident, who could be acting as a supplier of substances for other traffickers in L’Horta Sud.
An investigation lasting several months allowed agents to anticipate the meeting where the transaction occurred. The agents observed that, despite having no known professional activity, the suspect maintained intense mobility throughout the province.
As a result of the inquiries, investigators were able to anticipate the location where the investigated person was going to meet with drug traffickers in Benetússer. Therefore, a surveillance operation was set up in the vicinity.
When the two vehicles arrived at the planned point, the one belonging to the investigated person and another van-type vehicle, the agents proceeded to identify both drivers. During the search of the vehicles, eight slabs of white substance, apparently cocaine, weighing one kilogram each, were seized, along with 87,150 euros distributed in bundles.
The detainees are two men, aged 44 and 50, both Spanish nationals, who are accused of drug trafficking.
Subsequently, the Civil Guard carried out a house search in Benetússer at the residence of the investigated person, where further evidence of illicit activity was found.
In total, in addition to the drugs and cash, three mobile devices, three cars, and one motorcycle have been seized. The proceedings were handed over to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of Catarroja.
