The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that the investigating judge of the DANA macro-case in Catarroja will continue to have the support of four reinforced officials, ensuring the necessary resources for the investigation.

The Ministry of Justice has committed to maintaining the reinforcement of officials currently assisting the investigating judge of the DANA, a macro-case that still has over 100 testimonies pending. This commitment comes after the judge extended the investigation period for an additional six months starting from April 30.
The Minister of Justice, Transparency, and Participation, Nuria Martínez, communicated this decision after a meeting with the president of the Catarroja Court of First Instance, David Castellá. The DANA judge has four reinforced officials, and both she and the Governing Chamber of the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Community (TSJCV) had requested that this support be maintained beyond June 30.

"I have conveyed the firm commitment of the Generalitat to guarantee that the investigating judge of the macro-case continues to have the same material and human resources that she has had to date, as well as the same number of officials to be able to carry out the investigation under proper conditions and with adequate means."

The minister emphasized that the judge will not be left without any of the current officials during the staff stabilization process. She insisted that the objective is for the magistrate to have all the necessary means to advance the investigation, given the sensitivity of the case.
Regarding the continuity of the same officials, the minister explained that it involves four people and that a process will be followed. First, a service commission will be opened, and if it is not filled, the interim staff pool will be used. The goal is for the same individuals to be able to continue in their positions.

"The important thing is that the magistrate will have the resources she needs to be able to investigate this case with all guarantees and to prevent delays because it is a very important case and progress must be made."

During the meeting, the minister also reported on the staff stabilization process in justice, addressing requests from legal operators and trade unions. She highlighted that over the past ten years, an unsustainable situation with reinforcements had been
«patched up», causing delays in procedures. With stabilization, the aim is to reduce temporary employment and achieve a more modern, agile, and efficient administration.
