This intervention, with a budget of 335,494 euros, will last five months and complements the reconstruction of the bridge over the Poyo ravine, which collapsed due to the flood and involved an emergency investment of 12.5 million euros.
After restoring traffic on the CV-33, used daily by 48,000 vehicles, current efforts are focused on repairing the slopes on both sides of the road. Although these did not pose an imminent risk to road safety, their damage required specific intervention, which will now be carried out under the maintenance contract for the central Valencia area.
The works will take place between kilometer points 7+500 and 8+000, from the CV-33 roadway and from the right-hand side links connecting this road, towards València, with the municipalities of Picanya and Torrent.
Among the actions planned by the General Directorate of Terrestrial Infrastructures are the reconstruction of slope profiles to ensure their stability against rain episodes, as well as the replacement of fencing damaged by the DANA. In areas with greater damage, riprap work will be carried out, while less affected sections will undergo stabilization efforts.
Additionally, during the five months of the operation, a section of guardrail with significant damage will be removed and replaced, and gutters and berms will be concreted to reinforce the protection of the section. The execution of the works will cause occasional traffic disruptions, which will be properly signposted and communicated in advance to road users.
