A crew from the Valencia Provincial Fire Consortium, based at the Torrent station, intervened last midnight following the fall of a large tree on Avinguda al Vedat.

The alert was received around 00:00, at which point the emergency teams were dispatched to the scene. Due to its size, the fallen tree occupied part of the road and the sidewalk, hindering traffic and compromising safety on one of the main thoroughfares in the Horta Sud region.
The firefighters' work focused on clearing and cutting the most dangerous branches, as well as removing the debris from the public road to restore traffic as soon as possible. Additionally, the area and the remaining structure of the tree were secured to prevent further falls.
Once the immediate risk was eliminated, the firefighters marked off the affected area. The case has been referred to the municipal services of the Torrent City Council, which will handle the final removal of the plant remains and assess the tree's phytosanitary condition today.
